I dont see how that would be negatively affecting the unibody, but Im not a frame guy. As for the latter part of your post, I dont see your point. Like I said, one does not have to go all out to enjoy the benefits of a mod in the direction of its purpose. Anyone who has skimped out on their purchases can attest to this (buying cast wheels, entry level coilovers, etc). So he wants to enjoy his car on the street. Sue him.
