Message I was going to wait until Jay finished his up to see if they were too bright as DVDBURN suspected, but it was a cool October night and I figured I'd do something productive at 2am. Anyway, here's the original post with the kit information. I purchased the white set on their Ebay page for $20, shipping was quick and it took about a half hour to fab up plastic enclosures to keep it protected. Before you hate, I admit it couldn't be lower on the totem pole of Z upgrades but for the cost and time I'm very pleased with the result. JSpecs and proper lighting really help keep this 20-year old Nissan looking modern.

Before (cleaned housings and PIAA 194 bulbs)

After. Admittedly, the sheer amount of additional light made the second photo brighter overall but trust me, the difference really is drastic. See the closeup photos below for a more accurate before/after.

Closeup before.

Closeup after. Very happy with the results though I think I'm going to ditch the plate frame for simple polished one that doesn't hug the letters so much.

Some things of note:
-The heat is non-existent on these being LEDs and they should last a lot longer than PIAA or traditional bulbs.
-The same company does make dedicated license plate round LEDs but I was worried the focused beam would be problematic to aim/mount. They might be fine though.
-No I don't give a shit if "cops can see my plate easier", as if dim lights would ever stop them. I'm not 18 doing donuts in parking lots anymore...
