Message I relocated my battery because I wanted to clean up the engine bay a bit, but mainly for the weight transfer. The summit racing kit includes a sealed case, which complies with most auto racing organizations rules, and also looks nice and clean. This installation is not for the faint of heart. Drilling through the body is required, and alot of stubbed and fingers in my case. Here is my install of the summit racing battery relocation kit.

Here is where I decided to mount my kit. Behind the passenger seat seems to give optimal balance.

A 3/8 drill bit was used to bore holes through the plastic battery case, carpet, and body.

Here is what the otherside looks like.

On the washers I used a bit of silicone sealer to keep moisture out.

The bolts hook on to a H-Bar clamp which holds the battery, and case secure to the body. Now I know it looks odd cause its crooked, but my battery is a bit to big. Its pushing against the bolts, flareing out the case. With the case lid on it is not noticeable. My next battery will be smaller.

I routed the cables from the box underneath the ABS and strut tower plastic panels, around the ABS system, down the carpeted wall behind the passenger seat, along the passenger door under the carpet, and through the firewall using the same port were the EFI harness comes through where the ECU is located.

Your probally wondering what the blue wire is next to the red positive wire. One thing I wanted to retain with the install of this project was my ground kit. So I used this blue wire the same gauge as the rest of the ground kit and ran it along with the positive cable to the engine bay, connecting to the rest of the ground kit.

I grounded the negative batter terminal to this bolt on the body. I assume this is one of the rear bumper support bolts.

I drilled holes in the plastic battery case on each side for the positive and negative cables to run through, but you can just have them come out of the top of the box if preffered.

Here is the finished product!
