Message You must not have searched hard enough because I just found plenty of posts about the subject dating back to 2000. It is not a hard and fast rule that smoking will occur when you remove the cats from your exhaust system. I have had zero smoke from mine in the ~10k miles I have had my down and test pipes on. I have installed them on plenty of Zs and none of them have had sudden smoking issues.

This is not a new subject of discussion. There is no reason for a 'disclaimer' of any sort. It is well understood that if you mod your car, you are increasing the chances of something breaking or failing. If you don't do your research before buying and installing parts, then thats your fault...no one elses.

Have you even verified that it's your turbo seals failing? How are your PCV valves? Hows your compression? There are plenty of ways that oil smoke can make it into your exhaust. The cats and precats can mask this.

Try doing some more research and further diagnosis on your car before calling for disclaimer or a sticky post on a subject well discussed in search.
