| Replacing the starter (inhibitor) relay did indeed solve my problem. To answer my question about whether the starter relay can make a click noise and still be bad - the answer is yes. Also, to confirm what jzack said, sometimes the relay would click every time I turned the key, but once in a while it would not click. I cracked open the old relay to look inside and everything *appeared* shiny and new even though the sucker completely stopped working.
