its basically the same concept. Some may question the quality, but 9 x out of 10, the ebay peices are just as nice and do the same job perfectly. So, you can pay the original designer with their name brand, or you can pay a quarter of that to the guy that copied him. On most adjustable peices, different brands(name or knockoff) are 99.9% identical. I guess you can take what coz said into consideration also. If you think youll have an quality issue. But also think, you can sometimes buy 2 or 3 sets of knockoff arms, or tension rods for the same price as one set from vendors, depending on where you buy from. Theres alot to consider. Also, you might think about looking at the ebay seller's feedback, and emailing some of the people who have bought his product. Their input will probably matter most, cuz they will have seen/used/tested the product. hope this helps, tom
