Message ive found a little mistake in the service manual about removing the oil pan with the motor in the car.

you DO NOT have to remove the oil filter tree, to get the black bracket out of the way of the oil pan like the book says, wich would be a HUGE pain in the ass on a tt car. all i had to do was separate the other peice off the trans bracket, then loosed the two bolts holding it on all the way out, and the bracket swung out of the way plenty far enough to easily remove the pan

also ive always been hesatant to try this, but it took me all of about 45 mins to drop the crossmember and get the pan off. it is not that hard, and sure as hell beats a motor pull if your oil pan gets dented, or you just want to put in new rod bearings. i had to do it b/c the jspec engine installed into this car had a badly dented pan, and no oil pressure lol :/ duh

maybe this will help somone somehow? lol
