| This is my first write-up. Its an easy process, but maybe it will inspire someone to try to DIY. Turbo Timer Install - GReddy Turbo Timer Harness 90-96 300ZX - Apex Turbo Timer ** It is advisable to disconnect the battery before you begin. Some of the steps below are skipped because they are in other writeups, like shifter boot replacement. Start by deciding where you want the timer to be. I put mine to the immediate left of the steering column, below the idiot lights. Its a little snug, but its out of the way and still visible by the driver. Remove the panel below steering column. Its 4 screws. Remove steering column plastic cover. Its 6 screws (2 of them attach to the column, 4 go to the other half of the plastic cover). The actual connector you clip into is below the dash, its not the one at the top of the steering column (which doesn't fit the harness anyway). You can trace the wires from the ignition module down under the dash. The connector it goes to is hidden. Do get to it, you will need to remove the plastic AC vent cover that leads to the door vents (it snaps out). From there, take the one screw out of the AC vent piece and wiggle the vent piece out. There is another AC vent piece that goes to the center console. In the middle of that part is a screw. Remove it and the long vent piece will move out of the way enough to access the connectors. The connectors are mostly hidden by a metal housing that will move once you remove a bolt in the front middle. I think its 12mm. Once you have more room to work with, you will be able to trace the cables all the way to the connector. Thats where you will inject the turbo timer harness. Make sure you hear the click to ensure a good connection. While you're down there, ground the timer to the vehicle's chassis (very important!). Running the connection to the handbrake sensor isn't hard. Take off the vent/radio bezel and the front part of the center console (which houses the ashtray/shifter). There is no need to pull off the entire center console. I found that the handbrake sensor wire is too short to manipulate at the handbrake itself, so its easier and more convenient to 'tap' into it right next to the shifter. On the passenger side will be a small loom cable. Open it up and look for the yellow wire with brown stripe. Thats the one you need. The Apex Timer came with a splice kit to tap into the wire without actually cutting it. Use pliers and you will feel the click when its properly closed. The kit also has an O2 sensor wire, but I don't know if this is usable since we've got 2 O2 sensors on our Z's. I left it out. Before putting everything back together, try out the system. Start the car (or turn the key enough to activate the timer) and then take the key out (make sure the handbrake is engaged and the car is in neutral). The car shouldn't turn off and the 30 second timer should start on the turbo timer. To check the handbrake, just disengage the handbrake. The timer should stop and the car should also shutdown immediately (this is a safety feature). If everything seems to work, you're done. Put it all back together and enjoy! Pics. Above pic is under the dash.
Above pic is the ignition cable.

 Hmmm..where is the timer?
 Finished - here it is.
