Message Ok Many people have asked so I threw something together..

NOTE:This is what we did to wire up the JDM HIDS if you are not familiar with electrical systems then you should find someone who is to do this!!!!!!!!

And since I dont have any wiring diagrams your doing this at your own risk..

How to wire up the JSpec Headlights..

What is needed

  • At least one High Amp Relay

  • Multimeter or test light

 JDM Headlights

First you need to understand how the current lighting works on the 300Z.

US SPEC

When the lighting system is off there is no power to either the bright or dim
lights

When you turn on the dims power is actually supplied to both the bright and
dim lights but you'll notice the dims are the only ones that light. Why, well
I'll explain in below.

When your Dim lights are on the wires are as such

  • Dim 1 Negative wire 1 Positive wire

  • Bright 2 Positive wires

When you turn on the Brights the wires are as such

  • Bright 1 Positive wire 1 Negative wire

  • Dim 1 Positive wire 1 Negative wire

So what we did is this.

We used only one Relay to work the Bright Lights, The dims were just wired up
to the existing dim light wiring.

Ok onto the picture.. If you note the image below there is a connector with 3
wires. Well the Black is common ground for both High and Low beams the Green
wire is used for the Low and the Red wire is used for the high beam.

I snipped the connector and soldered extra wiring to the 3 and also used heat
shrink tubing to cover the splices.

From there we hooked the ground wire to chassis ground. We did it for both
the Drivers side and passenger side lights..

You'll need a multimeter or something to test
for power for the rest..

Before hooking up the rest of the lights we needed to find our power sources so
we used our test light to find this.

With the Connectors disconnected we tested the lights. No Power, Then we
turned on the low beams. We found the hot source for the low beams and tied in
the green wire to that.

Next we needed to find the wire that turned to negative with the high beams
on. (High beam socket) The ground is what we used to control the relay for the
high beam lights. Since we were only using one relay we only needed one side.

Then we wired that to the relay..(Note this is what will complete the circuit
for the relay not the lights.)

Then we put in a fused hot wire from the battery to the power side of relay
one for the Lights circuit.

Then on the open side of the relay circuit (Switch) we ran 2 wires to
the High beams..

Then tested the lights..

The end result is both High and low beams on at the same time when the Highs
are on and only the lows when the low beams are on..

--------

The optimal setup would use 2 separate high amp relays and both the wires
that ground out on the drivers side and passenger side high beam, and separate
fused power sources for both lights and relays...

Sorry I do not have anything to draw up an electrical diagram..
