Message Normal RPM Specifications:
NA- MT 700+/-50, AT 770+/-50, AC-ON 800+/-50 (MT/AT)
TT- MT 700+/-50, AT 750+/-50, AC-ON 850+/-50 (MT/AT)

Note-Adjustment of the idle screw is seldom required. Actual idle RPM is a fixed ROM setting in the ECU. Idle RPM control is dependant on various ECU sensor inputs and requires proper operation of all sensors, the AAC, and related components such as IACV and Air Regulator.

For idle screw adjustment:
NA- MT 650 AT 720
TT- MT 700 AT 700

Note that these are initial or base idle RPM settings which are made with the idle air adjustment screw after disconnecting the AAC connector. Make sure engine temperature is normal, all electrical components are turned off and radiator aux fan is off.

With idle rpm problems, I suggest spraying WD-40 into the large hose at the center of the balance tube and into the AAC inlet. Several applications may be required to clean out any accumulated deposits. This procedure is quick, easy, and has been a simple and effective solution for many idle problems. Beyond that, there could a lot of causes. Bad AAC, IACV, Air Regulator, Intake vacuum leak, throttle cable adjustment, TPS, temp sensor, and more. In some cases a bad connector or wiring problem may be to blame. For more information, refer to references listed below.
