Message the shielded signal wire, and the voltage reads correctly...

It started with my TPS voltage reading 2.7 V at idle and upping to about 3V at full throttle. Bill (ImTheDevil) & I both thought it might have been an issue w/ my AVC-R, since I also was not boosting properly. After many hours yesterday swapping parts from our cars back and forth, we finally determined that it was actually the TPS signal wire that was bad on my car - we initially did a continuity check and it showed that it was still getting a connection through it, but then we checked resistance and it measured 1.3 MOhms. We replaced the signal wire w/ some 24 ga dual conductor shielded wire, tying the ocnductors together at both ends to carry the signal through, and tying the shielding into pin 50 on the ECU as the original shielding is shown to do in the ECU schematic. I didn't have a CEL until after we ran the new signal wire. Even though the voltages are reading correctly, should there be a resistor inline or something to change the current (which we didn't measure)? Also, we swapped in his TPS from his 91 as part of the parts swapping process, and have left it in since the voltages looked correct. Could this be an issue using the 91 TPS on my 95?

Rule #1 - There's always a bastard!

JRHZ32TT: for some reason, when I hear the word 'tranny' I think of transvestite before I do transmission. don't ask me why
