Today I finally got the time to figure out how to stop my conv top from leaking and I think I did it. I saw the same problem with several Conv's I looked at so I assume it's a common problem. My top was leaking in heavy rain about a drop a minute from the joint where the top meets the A-pillar and window. The drop would basicly hit the front left coner of the driver seat. The right side would only occasionally do this. Now I figured nobody would be stupid enough to design a top that didn' have a way to avoid leaks at joints of weather stripping and sure enough there is. If you look at the top corner of the weather stripping you will find a drainage hole. I proved this was the problem by pouring water in the groove along the windshield and watching it go down. The drain hole was not letting any water down and instead it would well up and soak the area where the weather stripping of the top and windshield join. I stuck a stiff wire down this hole toward the front and sure enough it started draining better. The normal design is that this water gets funnled to the front and then drips down near the hinge of the door. Now when I pour a steady stream of water in the top groov it all goes down this hole and out. Hopefully no more leak!! Time will tell though. Hope this helps if you have the same problem. Mike in PA
