Message you could get the Tee. From your description it sounds like someone either did a DIY version of a Dual POP or got the kit from JWT to make a dual POP. If you do not know, I think you need to open the ECU case and see if the chip is soldered or socketed. If it is soldered, then the dual pop conversion was hardware only and is that main reason for your problem. If it is socketed, then you are going to have to get a OEM programmed chip to put in the socket after you clean up the hardware part.
The complete conversion to dual POP involves changing the maps to simulate double the amount of air for every given RPM. So after you make your intake system a truly single POP by putting the Tee back in, the modified chip will make your car way too rich.
If it was soldered you are good to go after installing the Tee.
