If the clutch is not engaging completely, and you have free play at the master cyl, then it would seem your slave is bottoming out on the retract, or the system still has hydraulic pressure or the hang-up is inside the bell housing.. Have you tried opening the slave bleed valve at the point where the clutch should be engaged to see if the slave retracts more? If it does not retract more then loosen, or remove, the slave bolts and see if the clutch arm retracts more. If it does, pullout the slave rod and see if anything is stuck in the bottom. If opening the slave bleed does cause the rod to retract more your problem is most likely the master cyl valve not letting all the fluid to return, or an obstruction in your stainless steel line. If all the above tests pass, then your problem is in the bell housing. BUT before starting this line of testing you need to determine the current location of the clutch arm by measuring the arms distance to a fixed object or spot on the bell housing. You can't evaluate something you can't measure and memory is not accurate.
