Message	I removed the thermostat entirely just for the sake of eliminating possibilities. Nissan datascan shows that the coolant temp is 185F when the heater is lukewarm ( I am idling) :If you removed it entirely, that's not good... The engine needs the thermostat to reach operating temperature quickly and get the ECU into closed loop to maximize efficiency. This would also explain why the heater is lukewarm.
