Message To your question. It is possible while the car is running that a fuel injector is not closing as fast as it should. There is a good youtube video on Pine Hollow Diagnostics channel where he uses an oscilloscope to find a bad injector. But in the video, the problem is a misfire code. I guess a pinched O-ring could also cause your issue. There shouldn't be residual voltage on the injector. That is powered by key on/key off for the positive side and the ECU pulsates a ground to open the injector. If you had constant ground to the injector, it would foul the plug. You'd definitely know a cylinder was down.
