Message	Like durometer, temperature range, tensile strength, cure time... For example: Black - oil resistant, slow cure time Gray - oil resistant, fast cure time Orange - high heat Copper - higher heat etc. etc. But ultimately all you really need is an RTV that seals and stays sealed for a reasonable amount of time - if copper color hasn't leaked with your application, I wouldn't worry about it.
