Subject	My 1991 300zx is overheating for some reason not sure about

Message	So I went home after a hot day and drive and the car overheated slightly and could hear boiling water in the coolant system. So I parked it and check it coolant 5 hours later and it was fine so I beat on the car for 15 minutes keeping revs high and it would not overheat. I then checked the oil on the dipstick and it was perfectly colored not milky and have no smoke coming from exhaust so don’t think head gasket. Thinking faulty water pump starting to go?
