Message Did a power balance check. All cylinders fire. I was using ECU talk and it said 16 degrees btdc before I started the car. Once started it jumped to 35 at idle. The car was idling high so I reset it since I recently fixed some vacuum leaks. After that it idled smoothly at 750-800rpm. It's straight piped and the little "putts" in the exhuast went away and timing read 15 btdc at a normal, warmed up idle. Car sounded a bit better, didn't test drive because it's late. Just to verify, if the ECU talk says timing is being actively read at 15 btdc, does that really mean timing is good? Also my car has a slightly sticky idle. It idles good, but if you rev it it drops and sticks for a few seconds around 1000-1200rpms then eventually goes down. What causes this? Could it be another cause of poor performance? Thank you to those who have responded
