Message	Unfortunately you have a rebuilder that is shitting on you. Sounds like you have no warranty on his work! How to determine if pump new would require pulling pan and inspect and even that would be difficult because it could be a rebuilt (reman) not new. Have you started the engine yet? Does it have fresh oil and filter ? If there is debris in the pump and oil pan the oil filter will pick up most of it when run. So unless you pull the pan and check you just might have to run it easy and do a oil and filter change after a short collection of miles. Once pulled if interested you could cut the filter open a see what it picked up. ZUL8TR
