Message	Things stamped with DOT should be compliant with DOT requirements but lots of people mistake that marking for "approval". These covers would omit the factory marking of DOT on the lens which most officers would look for. Outside of that, I imagine these might have a slight effect on the beam pattern compared to the OEM lens. Most of the pattern is created by the cutoff in the projector housing.
