Subject	Crank pulley backing plates Orientation

Message	Im looking at the flat backing plate and as far as I can tell its not 100% flat (curved just a tad bit) so which is the correct orientation? I'm guessing the curved side facing out (facing the crank gear) is the correct orientation. not sure how to post the pic but here is a pic below. https://imgur.com/a/APSjGXg
