Message	years. The fix for me was replacing the starter with a rebuilt. Went away immediately. You can try doing the driver wheel well relay too - but usually the issue when that’s bad is nothing happens when the key is turned, have to try a few times to get cranking to happen. BTW - pretty unlikely your flywheel teeth are messed up. Fairly hard to damage them.
