Message	than mine, but I did have a similar issue with the factory air box still installed. Mine stalled a couple of times when pressing in the clutch at higher speeds, and also had a hunting idle when warmed up. When I went to install the POP charger, I found the filters to be beyond disgusting and clogged up. Once I had the new filter in, both issues went away. In my opinion, it's worth a try - cheap & easy upgrade anyway. For what it's worth, I've also heard of people having stall issues from turbulent air if the splash shields aren't in place. Not sure if this is what's causing your problem (I didn't have any surging), but as it's similar, I though it was worth mentioning. Good luck!
