Message Currently doing a rebuild on a TT motor for eventual insertion into my convertible.

I rebuilt all the lifters as per Ash's write up and everything came out great. They all held tight and rock solid. Stored them submerged in motor oil till I installed them and still held tight. I've since moved on and installed lifters and cams many months ago.

Recently decided to check how things were holding up on the lifter front. Every single intake lifter is still solid as a rock and I cannot depress them at all. However, every exhaust lifter I can depress by a couple millimeters. I assume this is due to oil bleeding out since they sit at a ~45-ish degree angle when installed in the head with the motor level.

Is this normal for exhaust lifters after sitting for a while and should I just move on? Or do I need to remove/rebuild them again?

I thought that I ran across a Nissan spec saying ~2mm of play was considered ok in lifters, but have been unable to locate that information.
