Message	I have a 1990 LHD and I thought the linkage was capable of being separated as my last install I had the same issue however I installed the engine and tranny separately. Not sure why the last install required this as the other engine installs didn't. Possibly due to larger turbos offsetting the down pipes. I recommend looking at seperating or removing the steering linkage. Be sure to mark it for proper alignment when reinstalling. Good luck
