Message	On compression it heats up less, about 100 degrees less, hence the less efficient condensers in pre 1994 cars. Upon expansion both drop about the same; but the actual temperature when expanding in the evaporator is dependent on its temperature prior to expansion. Its delta drop is fixed, reason cooling compressed refrigerant in the condenser is imperative for good cooling.
