This is what is driving me nuts. There was a thin coating of oil on the inside of the timing belt covers and timing belt and everything inside there. but I can't find a clear line of where it came from. I;m really at a loss.
Is it at all possible that because the seals were new they hadn't seated in correctly yet and were leaking oil as the car was warming up and then once it got up to temp the oil pressure helped seat the seals and close the leak by itself?
