If I understand correctly.. you have a Z That will do a cold start properly, but hot starts are Poor.. LIKELY it's an ECU/Water Temp sensor thing.. Get a Conzult Cable.. Get Conzult Software, and watch what the ECU thinks is the water temp when it does a Hot Start.. If the ECU has a good connection to the Water Temp Sensor, then the 'Hot Restart' temp will be ~200 Deg.. if the ECU to temp Sensor Connection is Bogus, the ECU will DISPLAY the Water Temp as starting over at something like a 60 Deg Cold Start.. and it will synthetically increment the water temp it is using as if the engine is warming up.. Because you have a HOT Engine, and it's adding Fuel doing a Cold Start Routine, it will run REALLY Rich.. until the 'ECU' calculated Temp reaches the Actual engine temp.. then it will be close on Mixture.. Also.. look at the O2 Sensor activity when normal Hot Idle running.. Your shooting in the dark.. you need some vision as to what the ECU is seeing and doing.. Software is your friend.. Cj
