during installation. I have done the job successfully. You cannot press the bearing out. Has to be hammered with a brass (or steel) drift. There is no way to hold the knuckle flat to push outward with a hydraulic press. Then.., the knuckle has to be heated and the bearing kept in the freezer before you attempt insertion or it will resist going in. Last you put the seal and push in the stub axle. If the inner race is not supported.., well; damage to the bearing is almost certain.
This is a FWD style hub (knuckle). Never ever saw one like it. Not having a surface to push the bearing out is a very poor design from Nissan. Mine did not change in rolling resistance after installation. Put in the car. If you hear a noise you will know installation was done incorrectly.
