Message Did a compression test today, only got the front four cylinders done because it started to rain out of the blue and i didnt wanna get water in the engine obviously. Even without doing the back two I think it's clear my engine is buggered. cylinders 2 and 4 (drivers side, front to back) are 168 and 150 respectively. Cylinders 1 and 3 (passengers side front to back) are 128 and 123 respectively. I don't know how much it matters but I did 2 and 4 first, and then 1 and 3, so the engine cooled down a fair amount below operating temperature (it took me a while to get the compression tester hose in the spark plug socket because the hose was curved and didn't want to thread in). The spark plugs all had a decent amount of oil, some more than others.

Z's are a dream to drive and a nightmare to work on
