disabled should allow you to hear the injectors clicking. Use a length of hose or an automotive stethoscope to hear an individual injector. Best to actually touch the top of the injector. Pick an easier to reach one towards the front of the engine. Another way to hear them is using a long screwdriver or metal rod as a sound conductor (to your ear) but I find that method more cumbersome.
The CAS also controls the spark plug coil packs. Pulling one of them and using a grounded spare plug - any type will do, to see spark, is another way to test the CAS. Same as above, ignition on and fuel pump disabled is best for a no engine running test.
