When doing the TB replace and setting engine #1 cylinder at TDC does it matter if at TDC of the compression stroke or TDC of the exhaust stroke ? It seems that as long as the timing marks on crank are lined up and the new belt is put on with the cam shafts in the original set position all is well. Is there a reason to be only at TDC of compression stroke?
If needing to be at TDC of compression stroke without the valve covers off how to tell if there or at TDC of exhaust stroke? With a distributor/rotor ignition car this was easy just look at the rotor position relative to #1 plug on the distributor cap.
