Got an answer and it is to make sure the rod swings and slides freely on the wrist pin. While I'm sure some will disapprove, I opened my rob bushings up using a dremel with a scotch brite attachment. It was a bit oversized for the rod bushing, but ensured equal pressure on all sides. Hit them a bit then cleaned and tested until they fit tightly but rotated and slid on wrist pin.
