Message Hi-

had the exact same problem. The connector was so corroded that proper contact with the sensor was impossible. I could 'wiggle' the connector and the sub-fan would come on. There was lots of the green corrosion stuff inside the connector and up the wires. I replaced the temp sensor and connector and it worked as it should.

This was on a 1990 N/A
