Message The only way to (properly) adjust them is to use a degree wheel.

Each cam will have slight variations from machining so you will have to measure the intake centerline for each cam individually and then adjust based on that.

i.e. last cam I adjusted had a -1/2 degree variance from machining, so adjusting to + 2.5 degrees timing required setting it to 3 degrees on the dial.

And then when you set it, test it again to make sure the gear is accurate as well.
