Subject	Engine install without removal of trans?

Message	I can get the engine out with a cherry picker without removing the trans, can I just leave the trans on and install the engine? Has anyone done this? Aligning may be a pain but I think it may work? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Trying to avoid dropping the transmission for my na--> tt swap. I have searched and have not found anyone who talked of this. Only installing engine through top then trans through bottom is discussed. Thanks in advance!
