Message	condition of the engine. You say a while but a while cold be 6 months to 5 years.. If that is the case then I would check that there is clean fuel , antifreeze and change oil. I would use at least 10 w 40.. and start it. Then you know what you got. If nothing is leaking, burning after start up. Once your happy with the condition then do all the other things like fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs etc. etc. Good luck.
