Message	it "engage closer to the floor", that is incorrect. You can only properly adjust the clutch via the guide in the FAQ, when you install an aftermarket clutch. Go and adjust the clutch pedal via the method in the FAQ. You can resurface the flywheel and just replace the disk if need be without replacing the pressure plate, but if you don't properly adjust the clutch or figure out why you can't properly adjust the clutch, you'll burn that disk up too.
