Subject	Tips on how to repair the shielded wiring on the Det sensor?

Message	My wiring on the harness that connects to the sub-harness of the Detonation sensor has broken. What is the best way is to repair the shielded wire to prevent electrical noise? I've read things online from wrapping wire in foil to bare stranded wire. I don't have the time or money to spend on replacing the entire engine harness with a new one at this time so looking for the best way to repair this because it's causing a bad ground throughout my system and I suspect it is causing my intermittent codes 34 and code 53 since according to the wiring diagram they both end up tied into the same ground wire back to pin 50 on the ECU. Thanks.
