In Reply To ES Subframe bushing install clarification. posted by PiotrC70 on March 12, 2016 at 04:10 PM

Message will allow you to install new subframe bushings without the CZP sleeve kit. Since you retained the cup of the old bushing, the new ES bushings are a direct fit. The CZP sleeve kit allows removal of that entire bushing cup, which is generally less time consuming than retaining the old bushing cup. The crucial component of the CZP kit is actually the washers that go on the bottom bushings, as without this you cannot properly torque the subframe nuts. When you're torquing the subframe nuts against the bottom bushings, they're actually pressing against the lip of the cup. Without the cup with lip intact or the CZP sleeve/washers kit, the subframe will not actually be torqued to the unibody no matter how much you tighten the subframe nuts. I learned this the hard way.
