Message	You'll NEVER successfully re-glue a rubber boot and it will always look like crap. You'll also never get old oxidised (green crud) oem connectors completely clean (too many irregular contact surfaces) Replace the whole connector with a new Quick Release type of connector (much better contacts) and you've solved all your problems in one hit. .
