Subject	Alternator Only Works When Engine Is Warm

Message	I am having a maddening issue with the alternator I just replaced. It only starts working after the engine warms up. For example, I was driving home from work tonight, and the ABS light came on, and the car went into limp mode, then once the engine reached normal operating temperature the alternator belt screamed, and the alternator came to life like it should. I have never ran into this issue before, and I don't really know where to start. Any suggestions?
