It's probably a loose wire at the coolant temp sensor. It's on ur hard water pipes on the front of the motor. Look for the 1 wire sensor and see if it's loose or corroded. Best way to tell if the wire is good is to ground the wire and see if the gauge reads full hot. If it does then ur wire is good and u need to fix the connection or replace sensor
