I wouldn't say its a terribly hard job, just very time consuming, but I have worked on many cars and have all the tools and space so it may be easier for me. In somewhat of the correct order: -Engine out of car, transmission off Rear of engine removal -Flywheel/flexplate off -Oil seal retainer off Transmission brackets off
-Peripherals off (PS, Alt, pulleys, etc) -Water pipes off -Timing cover off -Timing belt off -Crank sprocket off -Turbo drain pipes off -Oil pan off -Oil pump off -Remove all connecting rod caps (youll have to put the crank bolt back in to rotate the crank for this) *Keep rod caps in the proper order so they go back in the same spots -Main caps/girdle offCrank out Of course, make sure you loosen main bolts in small steps to avoid warping anything, same with connecting rod bolts Im sure I missed some small things, but this will give you a general idea...
