Message	Yes, it can be related to the pin wearing out but you'd likely see that with rust like Joe@ZSpeedperformance noted. There is nothing wrong with the disc itself, dust inside the unit on the other hand, is an additional possibility... albeit unlikely. Check DVD Burn's write-up for more down that path.
