Message I only used FRAM for the first start, because you generally change the oil immediately afterwards.

I use KN filters for all my cars (because they are good, and the nut on the end makes them very easy to remove)

I also shy away from pairing used cams with used lifters that aren't matched to eachother, probably from my old school car builds. With unpaired sets your first start should use Rotella T6 oil and run the engine for 20-30 minutes varying from 2000-2500 RPM to break wear the lifters and cams in. Since they're both used you could probably drop that time down quite a bit, 10 minutes would probably do it.
