Message	and then spray directly on the sensor that is inside, right through the metal mesh screens, which are not removable. Using this MAF cleaner is kind of a shot in the dark for an issue like this, but it wouldn't hurt to try. CRC makes some, but I'm not sure how different it is than standard electronic contact cleaner. La-Z-Link. The CRC stuff should be at most auto parts stores.
