Strange one here, hoping to get some advice on narrowing things down.
Haven't driven the Z much and it has been off the road since summer 2014, towards the end I had a starting issue.
Turn the key and it would click, wouldn't crank.
Would attempt that a few times, and eventually it would crank and start. It was pretty random, but not once has it not started after several attempts.
Only getting to look at this issue now.
Read some posts on various forums and the symptoms sounded exactly like a bad starter relay.
I took the tire off, and removed the plastic trim on the inside of the fender. No relay found??
Looked it up and it is located there for all models EXCEPT Canadian manual Z's. Doesn't state where it would be located otherwise, or if there is even one present?Anyone have any info on this? Is there another location?
I'm reluctant to replace the starter simply because I have read many posts where they did this, and had the exact same issue shortly after. They replaced relay and problems were solved.
Could the relay be built into the starter for Canadian manual models? Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to provide.
