Subject	O2 sensor was my main issue map light issues maby?

Message	So after two years finally cleaning up other ppls work.I found that the under dash light on drivers side map light i guess? Has no plug to it at all i found a plug with two wires one black hot at the moment and red they go two a plug that has orang and white wire.looks like it slides on the clip on the column that has alot of wire junctions.. And the pass side light has red and blk both side have power. My questions are how do the under dash lights get activated is thier a switch and if so where is said switch. Also what color wires run to the drivers side map light? And finally is it normal to get 12 volts at both wires on the passside? I cut the black wire grounded the light side it lit up..??
